All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or when collecting your vehicle. This agreement outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations during the rental period. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle with us requires:
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Newton-le-Willows, drivers must be at least 21 years of age, though restrictions may apply based on vehicle type, with potential extra fees for those under 25. A valid, full driving licence suitable for the vehicle category must be held for the duration outlined in the Rental Agreement. Renters should present valid identification and proof of their current address. Payment information and a security deposit are also required. Booking and Payment Options
- Reservations can be made via our website, by phone, or in person at our Newton-le-Willows office. A deposit may be needed to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and security deposit are generally due upon collecting the vehicle. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Use of the vehicle for illegal purposes is prohibited. Activities such as racing, rallying, or off-roading are not permitted. Transporting hazardous materials or sub-letting the vehicle to others is also forbidden. Driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. Adhering to passenger and weight limits is mandatory, as is staying within designated geographical boundaries.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire in Newton-le-Willows will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims is capped at the amount you paid for your rental in the previous year. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
